|
Dr. Shilpa Bhartia is a Haemato-Oncologist, specializing in the treatment of blood disorders and blood cancer and bone marrow transplants, based in Kolkata.
Trained internationally, in the United Kingdom, Dr. Bhartia obtained the Fellowship of Royal College of Pathologists ( London). She secured 2 gold medals in Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology during her MBBS at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bengaluru.
Dr. Bhartia treats Leukaemia (Blood cancers) both in adults and children, Lymphoma and Myeloma. She has extensive training and experience in managing various complicated types of Anaemia, bleeding and clotting disorders and Thalassaemia.
Dr. Bhartia provides comprehensive haematological services, including diagnostics, administering chemotherapy, counseling and supports patients throughout their difficult journey.
Dr. Shilpa Bhartia graduated from the renowned Kempegowda Institute of medical sciences in Bangalore. She was an excellent student with many awards. To pursue her medicine interest she went to the UK for 9 yrs and obtained first the membership of the Royal college of Physicians, London and then trained for 5 yrs in Haematology and haemato-oncology to obtain the fellowship of Royal College of pathologists, London.

She received extensive training in General haematology, Paediatric haematology, haemostasis and thrombosis, blood transfusion medicine and malignant haematology.
Special attachment for thalassaemia care from University College London.
Realizing the lack of haematological services in Kolkata she returned to India in 2011 with the dream and aim to improve the standard of care and extend her services to the people of this city. She has so far done this successfully by working at AMRI hospital, CMRI hospital, Belle Vue clinic and Apollo Gleneagles hospitals.
For the more needy people she has done charitable work Sri Jain hospital, Howrah.
